    • PreK For All - UPK Families Technology Need
To keep children connected and able to participate in remote learning, the DOE is lending 300,000 internet-enabled iPads to students. Priority will be given to children most in need. All devices are granted on a temporary basis and will later need to be returned. There is a limit of one device per child. Families that wish to request a device should fill out this Remote Learning Device Request form. Additionally, your families may be eligible to receive a free at-home wi-fi service to support their child’s remote learning. Comcast is now offering free internet service for low-income families for 60 days for new qualifying customers. Families can visit https://www.internetessentials.com/ for more information. For your families with older children, households with K-12 students can get free Spectrum Wifi for 60 days (including free installation for new customers). Call 1-844-488-8395 for set up. Finally, starting today, any child under 18 can receive free meals at one of 435 meal distribution sites across the City. To find a site, families should call 311 or text 'FOOD' or 'COMIDA' to 877-877.
